Catholic Program 3

Day 1:

Connect with onward flight to Tel Aviv, Meet coach and guide, and transfer to our Hotel in Bethlehem for 4 nights, dinner, bed & breakfast.

Day 2:

Full day in Bethlehem. Morning visit to the church of the Nativity and see the birthplace of Jesus and the Holy Manger. Mass in church of St Jerome. See the chapel of St Joseph and the chapel of the Innocents. Afternoon visit to the Milk Grotto and the Shepherds Fields

Day 3:

Drive to Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives for group photo and view the Old City. Visit the Ascension Dome, Pater Noster church, Dominus Flevit, Assumption church and Grotto and the Garden of Gethsemane. Afternoon visit to the church of St Peter in Gallicantu – church of the Cock-Crow for Mass. See the dungeon where Jesus was held on Holy Thursday night. Visit Ein Karem, and the churches of the Visitation and St John the Baptist.

Day 4:

Morning in the Old City of Jerusalem. Visit the church of St Anne and Pool of Bethesda. Walk the Via Dolorosa to the church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Rock of Calvary. Visit the Western Wall. Walk on Mount Zion to visit the church of the Dormition, Tomb of David and the Room of the Last Supper.

Day 5:

Mass in Bethany and see the tomb of Lazarus. Drive via the Inn of the Good Samaritan to the Dead Sea. Time to relax and float on the water. See where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found at Qumran. Drive into Jericho and see the Mount of Temptation and the Sycamore tree of Zacchaeus. Continue along the Jordan Valley to Tiberias, and check into our Hotel for 4 nights, dinner, bed & breakfast.

Day 6:

Visit the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee for Mass and full reading of the great Sermon on the Mount. Boat trip across the Sea of Galilee with relevant Bible readings. This afternoon visit Capernaum, see the synagogue and the excavations of Peters house. Visit the church of the multiplication of the Loaves & Fish at Tabgha, Church of the Primacy of Peter on the lake shore.

Day 7:

Drive to Nazareth and visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, see the Cave home of the Holy Family, St Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s Well. Afternoon drive to Cana and visit the church of the Wedding Feast – the site of Jesus’ first miracle. This afternoon drive to Haifa and visit the Carmelite shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Day 8:

Drive to Mount Tabor and ascend by taxi for Mass at the church of the Transfiguration. Enjoy a view of the Valley of Armageddon. Continue to Yardinet, the Baptismal site on the River Jordan where we renew our Baptismal Vows. Afternoon free in Tiberias.

Day 9:

Early breakfast and transfer to Tel Aviv airport for our return flight back home.
