Catholic Program 1

Day 1:

Connect with onward flight to Tel Aviv, Meet coach and guide, and transfer to your Hotel in Nazareth for 4 nights, dinner, bed & breakfast.

Day 2:

Visit the Mount of Beatitudes, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, for Mass and full reading of the great Sermon on the Mount. Visit the church of the multiplication of the Loaves & Fish at Tabgha, and the church of the Primacy of Peter on the lake-shore

Day 3:

In Nazareth visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, see the Cave home of the Holy Family, St Joseph’s workshop, and Mary’s Well. Afternoon drive to Cana, and visit the church of the Wedding Feast – site of Jesus’ first miracle.

Day 4:

Drive to Mount Tabor, and ascend by taxi for Mass at the church of the Transfiguration. Enjoy a view of the Valley of Armageddin. Continue to Yardinet, Baptismal site on the River Jordan, where we renew our Baptismal Vows. In the afternoon Boat trip across the Sea of Galilee with relevant Bible readings.

Day 5:

Early departure for Drive into Jericho and see the Mount of Temptation, and the Sycamore tree of Zacchaeus . Drive via the Inn of the Good Samaritan to the Dead Sea. Time to relax and float on the water. See where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found at Qumran. Mass in Bethany, and see the tomb of Lazarus. Check into our Hotel in Bethlehem for 4 nights, dinner, bed & breakfast.

Day 6:

Full day in Bethlehem. Morning visit to the church of the Nativity and see the birthplace of Jesus, and the Holy Manger. Mass in church of St Jerome. See the chapel of St Joseph, and the chapel of the Holy Innocents. Afternoon visit the Milk Grotto, and the Shepherds Fields.

Day 7:

Drive to Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives for group photo, and view the Old City. Visit the Ascension Dome, Pater Noster church, Dominus Flevit, Assumption church and Grotto, and the Garden of Gethsemane. Afternoon visit church of St Peter in Gallicantu – church of the Cock-Crow, for Mass. See the dungeon where Jesus was held on Holy Thursday night. Visit Ein Karem, and the churches of the Visitation and St John the Baptist.

Day 8:

Morning in the Old City of Jerusalem. Visit church of St Anne and Pool of Bethesda. Walk the Via Dolorosa to the church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Rock of Calvary. Visit the Western Wall.Walk on Mount Zion to visit the church of the Dormition, Tomb of David, and the Room of the Last Supper.

Day 9:

Early transfer to Tel Aviv airport for a return flight back home
